ABSTRACT
Concern has recently increased in
the British higher education system that the incidences of plagiarism (the
passing of someone else’s work as though it were one’s own) may be rapidly
increasing. After an examination of the prevalence of plagiarism and some
of the reasons advanced for its increase, the paper examines some
solutions which are typically advocated. The implications for e-Learning
and on-line learning cultures will be assessed.
